Meaghan Wood
Speaker
Meaghan Wood is a strategic advisor to financial services executives navigating emerging tech, regulation, and market change. With 20+ years of experience, she brings deep expertise across banking operations, underwriting, risk management, compliance, & strategic technology investment —helping firms modernize responsibly and grow with purpose.
A strong advocate for protecting vulnerable populations and disrupting illicit finance, she blends her background in underwriting and banking with a sharp focus on human-centered design and data-driven innovation.
She’s worked for firms ranging from startups to major players like American Express, Capital One, and Accenture. (Avanade is a joint owned venture between Accenture & Microsoft – to avoid redundancy I saw we go with Accenture). In her current role as a Data & AI Innovation Executive at Insight, a leading global solutions integrator, Meaghan advises regulated market clients towards competitive advantage through thoughtful automation, risk reduction, and strong data foundations.
Her approach is grounded in a deep curiosity, a strong moral compass, and the values learned from her trailblazing mother—one of the first female foremen at GM and later a union negotiator. That legacy continues to shape Meaghan’s work ethic, people-first mindset, and commitment to doing business the right way.
She holds degrees in Sociology, Advertising, and Spanish from the University of Georgia, and has completed executive programs focused on finance and tech leadership strategy through Harvard and Wharton.
